Project goals
The main project’s aims are:
- to provide valuable and innovative research tools and digital archives at the national level (e.g. open access lithoteque, thematic maps, compositional reference groups etc.) aimed at the identification and localisation of knappable rocks used during Prehistory;
- to set up a shared and holistic methodological approach to investigate knappable rocks in archaeological contexts;
- to contribute to a significant advancement in the study of technological solutions, economic strategies, human mobility and exchange networks during Prehistory.
